Philosophy and Mission Statement
Statement of Philosophy
Young people are the future of the Church, the community, the
nation, and the world.
Therefore, we believe that
Each student is a unique human being who has the potential to
nurture his/her physical, intellectual, emotional, creative, and
spiritual gifts.
Academic, social, and practical life skills are essential for
success during and after the secondary school experience.
A positive self-image enables young people to express
themselves creatively and to better understand and serve others.
Curiosity, critical thinking, determination, and competency in
problem solving nurtures self-motivated learning.
A personal relationship with God is essential to each
student's total development.
A mature Christian, imbued with Gospel values, has the skills,
knowledge, strong moral character, and self-discipline necessary to
make informed decisions.
The Christian principles of tolerance, social justice,
equality, and respect for all life, form the foundation on which a
Catholic school is built.
